The Cable Pull switches have a steel wire rope which is connected to latching pull switches, so that when the rope is pulled in any direction along the length the switch is tripped to stop the machine, minimising risk of injury and risk of damage to machinery.

The 440E-L13153 Lifeline 4 grab wire switch has 2 Normally Open/2 Normally Closed contact configuration and M20 conduit entry. It has an ingress protection rating of IP66, which means that it is fully dust-tight and can withstand jets of water. It has an operating temperature range of between -25°C and 80°C. This device has an electrical current rating of 2A at a voltage rating 24VDC and a current rating 4A at a voltage rating 600VAC. It is well suited for use along or around awkward machinery, such as conveyor belts.

The Lifeline 4 switch is a versatile Wire Pull Switch which incorporates many features in one unit to provide uniquely exceptional protection, ease-of-use and installation, and resilience, such as:

• It has a rope status indicator, allowing for simple set up and easy maintenance for spans of up to 125m
• It also features a mushroom head emergency stop button for E-stop access at the extreme ends of the span
• This switch has a positive mode mechanism, ensuring that the contacts are instantly latched open upon actuation. They can be reset only through intentional action by turning the blue reset knob. Its design defends against nuisance tripping and the effects of thermal expansion
• The housing material is comprised of robust heavy-duty painted zinc-based diecast alloy (LM24) for superior durability and use in harsh conditions

• Superior safety – Switch lockout on cable pulled and cable slack
• Rope status indicator on the switch lid provides simple set up and maintenance
• Lid mounted emergency stop button which conforms to ISO 850
• Ease-of-installation and use due to universal mounting and operation
• Tension force is 188N lock-out, 103N running

A cable pull switch, also known as grab wire switches or rope pull switches, are a common type of emergency stop device and safeguarding measure.
