Galvanic isolation keeps the two circuits completely separate to limit the energy levels in the detection device. This reduces the risk of accidental ignition of flammable or combustible materials in the event of fault or failure. While it’s typically used with a three-wire Pt100 sensor, this versatile gadget adapts at the flick of a switch to work with two-wire or four-wire connections instead.
